Fab filter Volcano 2. Anyone experienced with it?

Post by NessPJ »

Hey guys,

I'm quite interested in buying Fab Filter Volcano 2. I've got good experience with Fabfilter plug-ins and they are pretty solid (especially Pro-Q which many people use i bet).

I downloaded the trial version of Volcano 2 and am having a pretty rough time, trying to make it do what i want.

I want to try and automate the frequency of a filter (with a controllable frequency value or Bar value on the XLFO).
So far i have my filter setup, i added the XLFO and linked (routed) it to the frequency value of the filter.
No matter which values i set, nothing seems to happen!

Any ideas on how to do this? :)

Maybe that function doesn't work in demo mode? You can also try to reinstall the demo version.
I seem to have no problems with that in the full version.

Alright, lets say i just installed and 'tried' the non-demo version. Its still exactly the same. :)
Am i doing this the right way?

The LFO is a waveform, which I don't see. You have to add one step to the stepsequencer to the right of the XLFO and the "draw" in the waveform. A straight line does not modulate anything.

I got it to work guys, thanks. :)
I was indeed messing up my modulation by not using the right signal (and the signal strenght was way off....).
