@ Haug: What happened to his brother, though? I was watching the newscast last night and they had him in custody, then all of a sudden he dies?
Pretty sure he died on the way to the hospital or at the hospital
He was shown in custody without injuries though, just with no shirt. They had him on the ground hands up for a while... :dunno:
That was someone else. That was someone they believed to be a suspect. It may have been the guy who's car they stole. He spent almost 30 minutes in the car with them. They made him strip naked to make sure he didn't have explosives.

http://www.businessweek.com/articles/20 ... -for-a-day
So they reported the cost of shutting Boston down to be $333 Million a day.

My favorite line was,
Much of the Boston area has been shut down to facilitate the manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. (Although Dunkin’ Donuts (DNKN), a Boston institution, has remained open at police request to serve emergency response personnel.)
Because ya know American cops HAVE to have their donuts. I almost thought they were being sarcastic.

I thought this entire thing was blown WAY out of proportion. All the money and police resources that were spent, the armored trucks paroling the streets, the unwarranted house searches. Yeah okay, home of the 'free'. And then Boston turns around and starts celebrating in the streets, costing the city more money to have police supervise the celebration. Little ticked, sorry for ranting. (6)

So you enjoy having a killer on the loose, and not the people celebrating the capture of the person responsible for a domestic terrorist attack, killing a cop, maiming hundreds of people, killing a cop, betraying his family, and running from capture?
Yeah I'm sure pissed at the police doing their job (6)

Also, here is what my step cousin thinks of this.

At least you probably think I'm not as crazy as your step cousin.

And don't get me wrong, I think it's great he was captured. That and we got him alive. It's just we went WAY over the top to find him. Locking everyone inside, multiple armored tanks, and hundreds of riot-gear officers doing unwarranted searches for a single man is an overreaction.

It's just America showing off its power and flexing its police/control muscles they have. Too much fear....

Every country would do the same if there's a terrorist/cop killer/anyone on the run with a that high priority on the run, I remember the massive amounts of cops when this guy was on the run:

I'm grumpier than you.

Do people even read these?

Could also be that they released their findings before the FBI did because the FBI can't really afford massive mistakes as much a few internet communities can, so they probably have to double check their findings and obviously, someone has to give the order to post it on the internet so they can't just publish their discovery right away. Anyway, not saying that it is 100% sure, and not saying that those guys on 4chan and reddit didn't do a great job, it's awesome that they are able to find stuff like that.

Hope the suspect lives, it would be nice for the victims if they could know the motives and it would be a bigger punishment.

@SCH: I think that an operation like this is never seen before, anywhere. :P

That's part of a manhunt, small areas have been locked down in the past to look for somebody. The same thing happened when they were trying to Corner The Dorner.

@ Fission: I swear I read your second part as "if they could know the movies to make the suspect bigger"

I bet his trial will take months like the theatre shooter.

I saw these pictures too some days ago, and when they captured the responsible persons I first thought that they don't really match to the guys on these pictures. Compare this FBI picture:
