I'm new here and I'm learning how to make nu-style kicks. Heard there are 3 layers.
- Tok
- Bass
- Punch

I've only made the Tok + Punch - I have got a sample, can someone tell me am I doing it right and how is it and what can be improved? etc...

Sample: http://www.mediafire.com/file/5znqmizyz ... ple%29.mp3

I still haven't done the bass yet as it so hard to get right and sounding good, maybe a few tips would help?

Like all the answers in your previous thread say. Use your ears and experiment! It's not good sounding like every other hardstyle artist out there. Try to find your own way in creating a kick :)

Unnecessary thread since you already created this one (software-hardware-f20/hardstyle-production-questions-please-help-t2093.html) around the same matter.

And use zippyshare for uploading sound files, then we dont have to download the damn file!

This is what I made with my own ears. I'm just asking for some feedback and you tell me to use my own ears? Stop jumping the bandwagon.

It might sound great to my ears, but that not what music is about. Is it?

I just think that posting threads where you ask people how to create a nu-style kick is very uneccesary. You'll learn more from just experimenting. And then you create a new thread asking for feedback, which you could have done in the previous thread.

So you don't think music is about what sounds great to your ears? Then what is music about? A way to make money? A way to become famous?

If it sounds great to your ear and only your ear, wow Mr Cama you would be the next Headhunterz wouldn't you.

Music has to sounds good to most people's ears. Otherwise what the point of it only sounding good to your ear?

Yes, I want feedback. How else am I gonna learn or improve without some guidance?

Why in hell would I want to be the next Headhunterz? Of all hardstyle artists out there you pick him?

If you enjoy producing music, and enjoy listening to it... that's all I need! :listen:

Ofcourse you need feedback, we all do! I just think you could have kept it in your first thread that's all!

1. Forget the damn Tok :p
2. There are already topics/sections for what you've asked, you would get better feedback there.
3. Make music that sounds good to you, but make it amazing enough so that people love to hear it :)
4. You can make your own feedback if you want, compare your track to a track that you absolutely love listening to, and see the differences, is the drive/energy missing from your track etc... it's not about copying a song, it's about understanding why your track isn't pleasing other people.
5. Let hardstyle guide you, create your own style, but create hardstyle, if the scene doesn't like it, then you are doing something wrong, simple ;)

There are plenty of topics here you should make use of, instead of creating new topics everytime you make a new sound
