this.

Your tutorials are good, well explained. I've been using buses for fx for a long time, not only does it improve your mixdown but also saves precious resources, especially if your running a smaller system!

The only thing is if you want to use reverb from your leads on a hardware synth ie a virus c, but you can deal with that much more easily :)

nice one man! Keep them coming

Thanks, I was really waiting for a tutorial abaout FX! I quickly made a Handsup melody (just to check this out) with bass and percussion and applied this technique and it sounds a lot more like commercial sound quality than it did before.
One thingt I would still be insterested in knowing:
How to apply reverb to percussions, like hats, snares, claps? Do you use one send for that? Which values do you use (time etc)? I guess you don´t route them into your Lead send, as there is a very long reverb and it probably would again sound muddy.

Keep up the good work, your tutorials are awesome. _O_

I'd like to see some fx tutorials from you. Like, how to make the sound-design of a good fx, where to start from, and what techniques to use. (like your screech tut)

I think it's best to use short plate reverb for percussion instruments, which you could also apply to another send channel.

What kind of FX ?
Uplifter/Downlifter
Crazy weird ass sounds
???

There's really a ton of effects to choose from ;)

About the reverb times:
1-2 Secs for percussions
3-4 for Leads
4+ for Pads/Choirs/Ambient background stuff
