Try the Diode1 setting..... #loveitthesh3ll wrote:actually that can be because of the type of distortion you're using, some distortions can add static since the algorithms are not top notchStatical wrote:I was using a 909 sample I found in a pack for months until I realized it had this tiny amount of static in it that became very obvious after being overdriven and distorted a dozen times.
for example, buzz effect - white noise clip distortion has one distortiona algorithm which sounds really nice but adds an annoying static sound around 1000hz
there's no problem with the basic "clip" algorithm in it though

Re: Samll request
haha I never actually tried the presets, but i was talking about the top and bottom modes in it, "Pixelate" is the one which adds an annoying noise, but the rest of the algorithms are actually very good, especially "zero" and "clip"chieldtm wrote:Try the Diode1 setting..... #loveitthesh3ll wrote:actually that can be because of the type of distortion you're using, some distortions can add static since the algorithms are not top notchStatical wrote:I was using a 909 sample I found in a pack for months until I realized it had this tiny amount of static in it that became very obvious after being overdriven and distorted a dozen times.

i used to use that distortion a lot, but sadly didn't have time to make sounds in months since i'm too busy with work..
i remember i made this bass with the "zero" algorithm from white noise stereo dist, it's good if you want a crunch:

(drumazon used for the 909 sound)

Pfff... I always hate this kind of topics, they're so useless. 'Someone is asking about this ore that.' This time he's asking for a 909 kick. If you know what you're doing, if I talk about music, you don't need a lot of skills to make one, or get one. I think if you just google, you can find one. The point is, since Frontliner made that 'tutorial' it's like eveyone is using that technique, because mr. Frontliner does! And it's amazing that he is so open to all of us, but come on, real producers need to learn there own things! I mean, if everyone knows how to make a kind of kick like this ore that because someone explained it in a video, there's nothing special too it..
If you really want to be a real producer you have to use your own tricks and imagination to create something original. Not with: uhhh, let me see, put this knob (don't know wtf is does) to 4,07% and then turn up the ratio of the compressor to 4:0:1 and then do this.. And voila, here is the famous Zatox kick!
