Post by Desertoz »

This Thread is dedicated to Producers or any visitor willing to gain some general knowledge or facts on how things work in the Hardstyle scene during the production process,If you do know a fact then why not share it,sharing is caring :D

I'm not really 100% sure about this fact but I'm going to share it anyways,
Did you know that the Real Roland TR-909 Bass Drum has a shorter tail compared to it Clone Drumazone?

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

Why should someone ruin an introduction to a topic and start on the same line?

Let's all forget about what happened and actually talk about the actual topic,I don't want this topic to spread into spam, lets us all stick to the topic please :)

did you know eks-9 is way easier and faster to make a good 909 with? and also better.
drumazone is horrible, even if the 909 is sampled it still sounds like crap.
eks-9 all the way!

Wise words! Everyone should know this! _O_ _O_
And EKS is good even for an 808 kick.

BTW. Did you know that if you put a hp filter with very high frequency on a kick, you can make your own closed hihat? :D Probably not useful, I just found out this when messing around.

Did u know?
A synth needs a Low Cut of 100hz and everything under 100hz should be turned mono to make it fit with the kick the and rest is stereo spreaded.
same with the kick, 100hz and under mono , rest is stereo spreaded and widend.

You're wrong. Basically there is NO rules for making or mixing music. If it sounds good, it sounds good.
- 100hz low cut? No, no and no. You cut it at the point it still sound naturally, warm and don't conflict with other sounds. You may even cut it higher, to thin the sound.
- About the mono. Well its also what I think, is the best way to mix your sub. Becuase normally a subwoofer, is just one speaker.
- Stereo spreaded over 100hz. Again wrong. I may sometimes keep my synth mono, just to seperate sounds.

And yes, you may not agree with me - and thats why, your post is wrong. Because each person, have there own way to mix :)
