How are hardstyle kicks reverse enveloped?
At 0:31, the kick is like reversed but when I try reversing my own kicks it does not sound anything like that. Would it need something else, I suppose?

I believe that a reverse reverb, also known as a backverb, was used to make that effect. My method for this is:
1. Load the sample into a sound editing program (such as Edison or Audacity), and cut out everything except for the part you want to reflect in the backverb.
2. Reverse it.
3. Put some reverb on it, and set the dry to 0.
4. Sample it.
5. Reverse the new sample, and place it at a reasonable volume.
Then, you can just line the backverb sample up with the original sample, and away you go.
Also, Yhimself has made an excellent tutorial on how to make this, if you want to follow that instead.

Yeah, reverse reverb is deffinately a cool thing...but in this case it really is just a reversed kick sample.
cut the punch part away at the reversed sample...maybe that's the problem
