Industrial is where I'm at atm. since the kicks are most likely a winner for me. Crossbreed doesn't click for me (yet) but then again drum and bass has never been my thing. Maybe it's only a break since I've been constantly listening to hardstyle 2009 where I began.
This is me right here. :)

Oh, and vinyls are still pressed in the HC scene which I find very charming.
Can you give me a few link of Industrial hardcore songs, and if they can be from 2011,2012. Btw is that the same as hardcore gabber?

Same for me.
Same here as well, although I like to add some Hard techno occasionally as well, the HT kicks are really beautiful. :)

@Twixxel: Industrial has in general a darker main theme then mainstream/gabber and way more distortion.

I'd recommend you

I'm starting to getting like this also.. The hardstyle atm is very boring and it's all starting to sound the same.. There's still some tracks i fall in love with but less now than in the beginning :)
I'm still new to the hardcore scene though but i'm not into industrial nor crossbreed, i'm more into the mainstream stuff ;) I don't feel like there's as much releases as in the hardstyle scene but there's more tracks i like per release than in hardstyle :)

I also mainly listen to hardcore again. Mainly old mainstream, industrial and crossbreed. Also dnb, hardtrance and experimental music.

I listened first to Hardcore but in 2007 I neglected it when I came in touch with Hardstyle and the funny fact is also that I liked Nu-Style back then more than the early stuff
My first hard EDM party - Q-Base 2009 changed that again, I was pretty excited for the DBSTF set & couldn't await their album but on the party itself I was surprisingly disappointed from them and spontaneous listened to the Early set from Lady Dana _O_ That changed completly my mind and I realised that listening at home & beeing on party is pretty different.

The fact that Hardstyle was changing into some different genre and also the fucked up release policy by most of the labels made me concentrating more on Hardcore again.
I started to investigate more in the hardest edges of Hardcore (forcing myself to have a look on popular topics with "unkown" names for me @GHF helped me alot) and it hooked me up instantly (6)

On that time Crossbreed started to become more & more popular (2010) and it introduced me to exactly that style of Drum & Bass I always loved but never knew the name of it: Darkstep (only listened to random tracks and researching wasn't that easy in 2006 without internet).
I would say that I have a solid knowledge about it by now, but also explore unkown older tracks from Dj Hidden or Current Value here & there e.g.
What I'm currently researching about is IDM/ambient and experimental music (mostly the darker side ofc) and also Techno (enjoying it very much at partys also as Hardtechno) and good progressive Trance stuff (but here I have the same problem as with DnB in the beginning, so much different directions I don't like)

Long text but what I'm trying to say is that I almost forgot about Hardstyle & even don't care anymore about it's commercialism (which I still did one year ago). Some of the mainstream Hardcore (I mostly listen to old mainstream anyways) stuff is also at the point Hardstyle was 3 years ago but I don't have serious worries since this scene is totally different and there are alot of big names with balls and without any political lockjaw and doing what they do like: HARDcore.
I have also the feeling that the hardest edge of Hardcore is getting more & more attention and I'm very glad that it gets their places on the big party's.
The future of Hardcore can only be good & it's nice to see that alot of you from here are exploring the beauty of the hardest side from EDM :one:

I'm also really much into IDM and Ambient lately (especially Tympanik Audio stuff), I don't care for much Hardcore though (except Breakcore and some Crossbreed). I agree with what you said about Hardstyle becoming extremly less interesting in the last years. Since mid-2010 I can only name like 5 releases that really impressed me :( But most of the time I listen to non-EDM music nowadays.

Well, it might as well be because we all has come to a point, where Hardstyle isn't enough anymore. It might be like eating your favorite meal every day, and it gets boring. I don't think it's because of hardstyle becomming more commercial, because it always has, I know people doing exactly what I am doing now back in 2008 (moving on to other genres and such), because they think hardstyle has become commercial and boring. Just as we hate on dong kicks now, they hated on the tok kicks I love.. That's just my theory though
