Dark & Funeral Jazz

Post by Digital Audio Tape »

as you may have noticed i'm really into that slow, dark and depressive stuff like drone/dark-ambient... quite a long time ago i discovered for myself a german band Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, that's awesome veeeeeery slow (sometimes it's around 20-30 bpm) dark jazz music...
Spoiler

and also there's a band The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation (yes, it's an alias of Bong-Ra :omg: ), they are slightly different, little more drone-oriented, but still it's a perfect example of dark jazz
Spoiler

so, the big question is: does anyone on that board also feels for that music? i do want to know any other bands doing the same thing apart from these two...

You DAT it seems you are more into that stuff, could you recommend some stuff that goes into the direction of Bohren & Der Club Of Gore?

I'm not really into this stuff that much, i'm more of drone/ambient guy, but still. try The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation. also, some guys recommend Roscoe Mitchell, also Enrico Rava Quintet album "Tribe", Anders Jormin, and Dark Freud. something like that
