I don't think some of you really know what Hardstyle is about.
I personally don't like Dubstep so I won't even argue.
I started listening to Hardstyle with Donkey Rollers, Technoboy, Showtek, The Prophet, D-Block & S-Te-Fan, but now I really have to say there is no such thing as the underground movement that swept the rave scene.
All you see nowadays is untalented fuckers making music and everyone falls for it.
There's this video on Youtube where Technoboy, Tuneboy, and Audiofreq are in the studio together to come up with a brand new Hardstyle track, and this young noob starts dropping Dub sounds on the track.
Rightfully, Technoboy freaks out and starts bitching saying "That's not Hardstyle!".
Whatever happened to the No One Can Stop Us and original Italian Hardstyle movement?
Colours of The Harder Styles and Duru? Or even the Tales From A Vinyl?
Hardstyle is not about the lyrics or the melody. The low frequencies speak to you and create stories.
Fuck Skrillex and fuck Headhunterz. Headhunterz and Showtek betrayed Hardstyle.

Good for you.
I started listening to Hardstyle with Donkey Rollers, Technoboy, Showtek, The Prophet, D-Block & S-Te-Fan
There's a lot of guys on here that listened to hardstyle before D-Block & S-Te-Fan were even born. Not really but you get my point.
but now I really have to say there is no such thing as the underground movement that swept the rave scene.
You're not looking in the right place then (or living in the right country).

for me, its not about the Skrillex or the music. Its the fad in the U.S. with a shit ton of people who claimed Electronica was for fags 2 years ago suddenly acting like dubstep is the best thing evar, and only dubstep. You'd think it would lead to them trying out other stuff with new eyes, but no. Everything else in the EDM range can go fuck itself in their eyes (even DNB). I don't like the music at all, but I don't hate most music, just most people. Hopefully like all fads, its popularity dies down.
In my opinion Skrillex's stuff caters more towards his shows. I dont really listen to a lot of his stuff when at a bar, club, or just chillin out because its not something you really dance to. If you have ever seen him at a show its completely wild. It has more of a rock concert vibe (crowd surfing, goin ape shit).
Most of his fans are either metalheads or emo fans. They don't know any other way ;)
