Trance Track (137 BPM)

Post by Crankx »

Hey, so today i felt like creating some kind of melody and turn it into a trance track. I dont normally make trance, but this time i gave it a try,

Vocals by Nikkita. From a free vocal pack on her site.

What do you think ?

Those vocals are hogging up the track.....

Maybe could you think of posting your tracks in other-music-f67/track-reviews-non-hardstyle-hardcore-t16840.html instead of creating a thread each time ?

The melody is not bad but there is a lot to work on. The track does not have the structure of a trance track, instead it has the structure of a Hardstyle track. The beat is relatively boring as well so you need to add more percussion sounds such as hats, rides, and other sounds in general to make it more interesting. There are lots of other small elements that are missed out as well such as the pads (one of the main elements in trance) and there are arps which could be added as well as other plucks. Also these type of vocals don't really fit a trance track very well imo. But the melody isn't bad but I don't think it fits trance too well.

Thx for the feedback. Could add some more percussions like void said. And about the structure, i dont listen much to trance, but what do you exactly mean?

Think i will look up some trance structure guide :)

Listen to different trance tracks. You will need to listen to the style of trance that you want to produce though as there are many different ways to structure a trance track based on the style eg. Uplifting or progressive have different elements that are used in them.
