you hear a stutter in it, how do you create that cant imagine that you cut it, more likely there is a more efficient way for it? Or a saw/square modulated with a lfo. can't really hear what's happening.
Something similiar you also hear in outlander's track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50_z-teefmI also around 0.27 seconds. Help is appreciated.

just the sound itself with some short notes or a gate effect. 

Your could use the DBlue Glitch for such an effect. Like PhadeZ said is the "gater" effect in this free plugin.
Also you could use the arpeggio section in your vst like in Sylenth 1.

in the piano roll u make really small notes to shorten the time and make sure u got no release ON UR SYNTH ENVELOPE.
