Tips to make climax sound more 'full'?

Post by andyhuynh »

Hey guys
What are some tips to make a climax in a track sound more 'full' rather than just using 3-4 layers of leads?

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

REVERB AND DELAY. You need to mix your kicks with the climax really well, so that they fill most of the empty space, giving your ears more freedom to concentrate on the climax. Also pads, arps and some chords will make your climax more fullsounding.

I agroo, although you shouldn't "mix" your kicks into the other sounds. Your kick is the main part of the climax, the kick is where the people are dancing on and the kick is the element that determines the tempo. I might be wrong, but I think your kick is the main part of the climax, and you should build all your sounds around it. Also a tip I got from one of Frontliners livestreams is when there is no kick in a certain part of a track, you don't have to cut the bass. You can do it if it sounds rubbish, but I have found out that when i'm making a buildup or a break,, and I don't cut the bass (I even boost it), it sounds much more full.
