Name sample packs most producers have

Post by NEKA »

As far as I can tell by listening, well, depends on a genre etc. that many producers and artists share the same sample packs, with same vocals, snares, FX etc. Could you guys name a few, I know that Vengeance packs are most used but are there others. Especially some vocals and great FX for sound design.

I know, stupid topic but just asking, can't seem to find any proper OR quality ones :dunno:

I think quite some artists have the Vengeance sample packs. I use it for sweeps and deep fx reverb kicks. I started to make my own this week, but just can't get the hang of it.

Vengeance sample packs are the best, many of the fx ups, downs and explosions are even used by some pro producers not necessarily by hardstyle but aswell by other genre producers and they really are great, atleast in my opinion.

I'll throw my hand in for Vengeance as well. They're a step above most of the other samples packs out there. I tried the Manipulation packs from NuttyTrance, but I wasn't as impressed as I was by Vengeance.

Good, now let's compliment a sample pack OTHER than Vengeance. :eyeroll:

I dont see the need for 'basic' sample packs tbh. Claps, snares and crashes you can all get out of Drumazon (though I prefer to use Tremor).

I make all of my SFX. Either from synths (like a 12semitone riser over 4 bars) or using parts of the track and smashing them with granular synthesis. I also like to use the outtakes from recording sessions and run them through massive effect chains for sweeps.

For specialist sample packs (world music for instance), Loopmasters and Big Fish audio have some great stuff. But for percussion, just make you own! :)

I liked the acidlines & FX in the Manipulation packs, the kicks aren't bad if you like gated kicks, I think 3 & 4 were the best, but you can't compare it with Vengeance packs, Vengeance have way more samples.

As Audiofreq said Loopmasters is pretty good.
