Re: Why no Sample Packs From big names?
This is why hardstyle can keep alive as a style, evolves. Unfortunately these sample packs ruined handsup, & now ruining the house-electrohouse-dubstep scene. it won't happen with hardstyle(i hope : ))

VEC should be sufficient for any producer in EDM, anything more than that is a signature sound and should be kept to the original artist IMO
I don't personally use samplepacks anymore, now i'm going cold turkey (
) and creating all percussion sand kickdrum sounds myself with 909 emulations and other synths
i suppose there could at least be a "tok pack" or something, something to help people with layers, i was thinking of making something in the future but for now my "own samples" pack is just for me

Have to agree here - there is nothing wrong with putting a layer of Nexus under a synth just to add a little fullness. I don't like only using Nexus presets thoughPithune wrote:its a handy "vst"... if you actually know how to use it, some presets are really niceaudiofreq wrote:It does and its called reFX Nexus.Pithune wrote:good thing producing doesn't have a sync button

I like the fact that samples and ripped stuff is really hated in the hardstyle scene. It make people put effort in creating something new. In the housescene for example 80% of the releases are recycled shit because people just rip ideas/sounds and people dont even care it seems.

true... like my brother once said after sensation white... nearly every house track sounded like a loop with a rocket lifting up every 20 seconds and then some lameass drop taking away all the power it's been building up... -> where's the originality ?Marcotjuh wrote:I like the fact that samples and ripped stuff is really hated in the hardstyle scene. Well talking about producers who made sample packs.. For example The Machine released a sample pack (with fx sounds, snares, claps, .. and mostly gated kicks and reverse bass, so I guess nothing for you kickwise).
But as Marcotjuh already said, it's great that sampling is hated in the HS scene as it destroys originality and the will to do new things.

This is the reason!audiofreq wrote: Why would I or any other producers want to sell my hard work so that other people will sound like me without the effort?
I've worked very hard to develop my style and sound, it doesn't make much sense for me to make what I do easy/available for others.

not really, because it doesnt have much of interesting sounds for hardstyle music and the ability to tweak the sound is basicly zero. There are hardstyle kicks in the pack as far as i know that comes with some expansion but those kicks do sound like a shit as far as i remember.audiofreq wrote:It does and its called reFX Nexus.Pithune wrote:good thing producing doesn't have a sync button
I myself dont use nexus, but my opinion about it is very good, because hand its a handy and really nice VST if you need basic good sounding sounds or just a supersaw sound, they would save CPU power, or if you just need a quick library to lay down ideas

I dont really think there is overal such instrument or anything that would be alternative to "sync hardstyle" button
but on the other hand ReFX nexus is a "sync" for other EDM genres like house, trance.
