Re: Omegatypez Synth Tutorial?

Post by ljk32 »

I'm telling you, it's probably not even worth showing, but it's the closest I could get. Though I did layer this with 2 other leads. Here:

This is for Sylenth btw.

Oh wow, awesome. Is there any advice you can give me for the background synth? I want to figure it out myself, but I don't think I'd be able to get the right sound. I know it'd be a high portamento setting with mono legato turned on, and an LFO on the pitch, but I'm not too sure about what else. Admittedly, I have never tried to go for that lead before.

It's a mixture of saw & Pulse waves pitched quite high. Don't detune any of the waves & add a chorus to it. Add slight movement to the pitch of the lead with an LFO & have it on mono slide setting for the glide. It will sound horrible at first so you will need to do a lot of eq to kill frequencies around the mids that ring.

If people want the preset send me a message :)

Okay, since this is turned into a 'main' topic i'll ask you guys:
How do you people make nice chorus-like leads from synths like Sylenth1 for example?
