I found this on Facebook a long time ago, and I found it really inspiring. This doesn't just apply to Hardstyle, but everywhere else too. To be honest, I don't even know if this is the right place to post it. I just hope this message helped you like it helped me.

Fact 1. Rome wasnt build in 1 freakin day. (if you know what i mean)
Fact 2. To be the best there is one word: Practice.
Fact 3. Dont make time for you music if you haven't time. Because you need to put allot of time into it.
Fact 4. Only the die hards will be there where they want after they practice and practice.
And fact 5. Headhunterz told once: I am not a god, im just a man with a good knowlegde and inspiration. You can't understand a hardstyle kick, or any sound in one day!

I make hardstyle for almost 4 years know, and i dont give up. Btw, i have fun with it to enjoy it. I love to make hardstyle, from kicks to everything else! It's like science, only then with music.

Good luck all! And you will be there! Don't give up!

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

i don't like "put yourself on a deadline so you finish..." if you force something to be finished without inspiration it automatically becomes bad :fist:

Being working around a proffessional music program since 2003, I can really relate to this.
I have done more music genres then I can remember, I go on one genre, I try till the point when I quit and begin with the next one.

The last few years I have gone from Jumpstyle to Hardcore/Old school over and over again.
What do I have to show for myself during that year? My attempts have made better results, not where I want it to be, but its getting there.

If everything was easy, there would be no passion.

I guess this is kind of off topic ,but I think its close enough to the main topic.I realize that my stuff is going to be shit in the beginning ,but what I have with trouble is overcoming my laziness. When I heard that some producers are producing every and are hard at work, I guess I kind of got inspired to produce everyday for hours on end. This has not been the case for me. I really love Hardstyle and I just don't see myself doing anything else in the future except djing and producing. But on the other hand I wake some days planning that I am going to produce and I just don't feel it you know like my half of my brain is telling me go on produce and my other half is saying fuck it, you can do it some other day. In the end I fail to reach my expectations of working hard and its just disappointing. Do you guys have some tips on staying motivated?
