Triplet?

Post by KFKiller »

I used to use it alot like 100% of my tracks where 1/8T but now I never make any triplet tracks.

Who used triplet first, who still uses triplet and is triplet fading out slowly?

I don't know who used it first but i really like triplet. I often use it and my latest project is also made in triplet.
You can check it out at my Soundcloud if you wanna listen. I like the "flow" (don't know how to spell it in english sry but i hope you understand what i mean) that comes with it. And i like playing with it in the plucked cutoff thing when a climax starts. (Damn it's really hard to explain things in producing music :?) It isn't anymore used that much nowadays :'( But i hope that one of the big artists get back into it...

Hardstyle climax triplets are cliche. The worst thing anyone can do is use a climax triplet where the rest of the song is 4 by 4 beats, because that indicates unoriginality to the max.

Well, maybe. It's just that it's virtually everywhere.....

No offense.

I love triplets! I use them a lot & I really love using them for intros. I don't think it's unoriginal to make a melody with triplets because if you look at other genres try are all using 1/4 so using 1/4 is not original either if you know what I mean :P

Okay, but I wasn't really talking about triplets overall; just triplets in Hardstyle climaxes. What I meant is the same old Hardstyle climax where there's this cheesy triplet melody in the middle of a 4 by 4 song with tripletized nu-style kicks that usually sound flat, which is the same in 75% of today's Hardstyle tracks. I have nothing against triplets; I mean, I like them too. It's just that it's been done too many times in Hardstyle tracks.
