Kick/Screech overlap

Post by Buffelstoot »

Hello,

I would like some advice.
I have made a kick and a screech.
When I play them together, it sounds like the screech is overlapping with the kick so you get a messy sound.

When I check my frequencies (EQ) I can't see any mistakes. The schreech has higher frequencies and no lows.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem??

Here's a sample so you can hear the problem:

I guess your whole project is just too loud. Check your mixer settings. That's the first thing that comes to my mind. :)

Cut a bit of the bass of the screech.

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

Disable the limiter in FL Studio on the master channel, that's the biggest mistake who almost everyone makes in FL Studio.
