Have you heard about that trouse, Tiesto? He just coined a new genre called polkastep

It's amazing, almost scary, how many hardstyle djs made the list this year. I definetly wasn't expecting that to be the case...The fact that Brennan Heart and Coone made the list is just shocking. Even more shocking is that Headhunterz beat Skrillex. :O

It also feels like there are a lack of trance producers on the list this year as well... :(

I've noticed how house and trance have sort of fused together, and I dont like it either...The stuff is okay every now and then, but honestly, trance music was so much better in the past than what it has become now. :(

Something that Armin Van Buuren said on his DJMag reply that relates to this:
Armin Van Buuren wrote:"There's a huge demand for trance still," he says. "A lot of trance records are now labelled as 'prog' or 'house', but for me, they clearly are still trance records… We're being fooled into thinking trance is going away, but for me it's just a matter of what label you stick to it."

I'm not surprised that there are that much hard dance artists in the results. The MoH Hardcore Top 100 2010 showed perfect how fakey all this voting is (Facebook/Twitter/coolest YT voting video)

Btw... I still wonder why Noisia isn't in that list... somehow I know it's even better for some reasons, but secondly music which they produce last 2-3 years... they need to join the list, because that trio deserves more attention! :)
i see you with my x-ray

As i've already said before Armin > Guetta. Guetta defs doesnt deserve his spot as much, his just so commercially popular but now I see him as a pop artist and I honestly cant stand much of his stuff (espiecially Titanium, ) I think Armin lost votes from the 'real' trance fans because his gone softer this year, but anyway I was happy to see hardstyle represented, although I'm not that proud of Brennan Heart or Psyko Punkz, and DBSTF were lucky to get #40 in my opinion. Even though I would have rathered certain other artists representing us, I was happy to see Zatox in there, his had a great year and he deserves the recognition, and also hardcore in there made me happy! Apart from that I thought Deadmau5 and Avicii were well deserving of their positions and it was a good year

Infected Mushroom on the list, as with Astrix :)

Also, note Skrillex at #19. Bullshit. He doesn't even fucking DJ. In fact he can't. He just plays pre mixed sets or Ableton with an effect on the last beat of every bar.
