Vi Ta Lee:Short tutorial from me. How to pitch a hardstyle kick in Logic Pro X.
I think it's simple but effective method.
Well, that's very stretchy sound. I'd prefer to use good sampler, i.e. Logic Pro X' EXS24

Amplifire:Hi guys, i am currently working on a new kick project, attached you can see, that the waveform is going very deep down after the layering of the 2 layers. don't know if it's correct, but for me the tail sounds pretty nice. What you think? or is the strange waveform the result of wrong layering? both layers have a lowcut at 40 hz.
Greetings

From my experience, the strange waveform appears because there are lower frequencies below 20 hz messing with the phase of the kick. However, you lowcutted the 2 layers at 40 hz which shouldn’t be a problem, but what I would do is low-cut your layered kick at 20 hz, and see if it fixes it.
When I'm making my kicks, every time I distort the kick, I always get the same problem. I rarely ever low-cut at 40 hz because it removes the sub bass from the kick, so I usually low-cut from 20 hz to about 32 hz. Or maybe you have the sub bass separate from the kick.
Hopefully other users can give you advice!
Gari:Guys, need your help!
I'm trying to make a frenchcore kick and then pitch it in FL st. The problem is, when I use headphones, it all sounds ok, but once I switch to the loudspeakers it sounds like I'm hitting wong notes.
For kicks I use Microtonic + D-Stortion, Ochmicide,CamelPhat, WaveShaper and EQs, pitching in sampler e3 (or e2) mono, just adding cents (100 for a note). Even if I try dragging notes up and down it all sounds out of tune.
Most probably I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what and how to fix it.
Amplifire:UPDATE: This is how the sample look when i combined the two layers without cut the bass. The low cut at around 20-30 hz didnt worked unfortunately. I am not sure if the waveform looks correct. In my opinion the bass is too strong and i would cut out now the bass out of the sample at around 40-50 hz and create my own subbass as a seperate sample. Then i combine with the tail. What you think guys?
