There a little cable in the bottom of each channel. By default il goes to the master. Unplug it from the master and plug it in the channel you wantWavelength wrote:Best place I could think of to post this;
Recently I switched to FL 12 and when using the mixer I can't figure out how to use two inserts/channels for the one instrument - situation; I've maxed a channels plugins and now need to use a 2nd one to add more plugins/vsts, usually I'd just click a wee button at the bottom of the channel beside it and sound would route through that one too for me to add effects but I can't find it...
Question 2, is clicking at the start of a kick something you want to get rid of straight away or do people tend to layer their tok over it anyway?

You're welcome.Wavelength wrote:Thanks a lot, such a daft thing to forget.
And regarding that
Do you mean the attack of the 909 ? I actually push the attack in Drumazon to the max and even EQ it to make it stand out before even distorting.Wavelength wrote:Question 2, is clicking at the start of a kick something you want to get rid of straight away or do people tend to layer their tok over it anyway?
When I'm finished with my chain, it should already start to sound like a tok so I separated the first few ms of the sample and work more on it to make it sounds even more like a tok. Sometimes layering other samples, sometimes not.

Hi guys, i am currently working on a new kick project, attached you can see, that the waveform is going very deep down after the layering of the 2 layers. don't know if it's correct, but for me the tail sounds pretty nice. What you think? or is the strange waveform the result of wrong layering? both layers have a lowcut at 40 hz.

From my experience, the strange waveform appears because there are lower frequencies below 20 hz messing with the phase of the kick. However, you lowcutted the 2 layers at 40 hz which shouldn’t be a problem, but what I would do is low-cut your layered kick at 20 hz, and see if it fixes it.Amplifire wrote:Hi guys, i am currently working on a new kick project, attached you can see, that the waveform is going very deep down after the layering of the 2 layers. don't know if it's correct, but for me the tail sounds pretty nice. When I'm making my kicks, every time I distort the kick, I always get the same problem. I rarely ever low-cut at 40 hz because it removes the sub bass from the kick, so I usually low-cut from 20 hz to about 32 hz. Or maybe you have the sub bass separate from the kick.
Hopefully other users can give you advice!
Thanks for the fast feedback. Will try today out when i am back from work.Whisky wrote:From my experience, the strange waveform appears because there are lower frequencies below 20 hz messing with the phase of the kick. Well in the past i layered many samples and i had everytime the problem, that the subbass in the samples are pushing away the crunch. So in this project i low cutted every layer as first before i begin to distort. Every layer sounds pretty well and i have no problems with the bass. But when i combine the layers, the bass getting too much and on these two samples i decided to low cut.
I create the subbass as a seperate sample
UPDATE: This is how the sample look when i combined the two layers without cut the bass. The low cut at around 20-30 hz didnt worked unfortunately. I am not sure if the waveform looks correct. In my opinion the bass is too strong and i would cut out now the bass out of the sample at around 40-50 hz and create my own subbass as a seperate sample. Then i combine with the tail. What you think guys?
