https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/05/05/ ... ease-date/
Comes to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam in Summer 2025
Release date is set to 26 August, 2025, with a set price of $39.99 as per the article.

Some bullet points from the article I took note of:

- 4K resolution
- 60 FPS in Campaign
- 120 FPS in Multiplayer
- High Dynamic Range (HDR)
- 4K assets and remastered textures
- Zero loading screens during Campaign

Also, a gift for the XBOX fans:
For Xbox Fans, A Thank You

As a token of our gratitude to longtime fans, Gears of War: Reloaded will be a free upgrade for players who purchased the digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition prior to today’s announcement. (Must have purchased a digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition prior to 16:00 UTC on May 5, 2025. A code for Gears of War: Reloaded will be delivered prior to launch of the game via a direct message to eligible Xbox accounts.)

And for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, Gears of War: Reloaded will be available as part of the Game Pass library at launch.

I have a feeling that the rest of the games are coming too, just spaced out.

Also, like VOL-E, I've never played any of the Gears games so I'm definitely playing this one. (at some point ^^ )

I did played 1st on PC and 2nd on Xbox360, but still I will buy this, love the mechanics of this game and shooting impact is still pretty good. Also this franchise is quite interesting

Yeah you're right guys, its deffo a good chance for those that havent even played any, im already kinda tired of the saga cuz i did 100% of the original trilogy, and yes, they might do the triple dip releasing the other 2 later

hope it's better than the original, tried it for the first time a bit ago and I found it to be comically bad

I mean it's the same game just with a facelift and (I assume) modern controls, so in terms of gameplay, I doubt there's anything new for you. Unless of course you meant on the technical side which reads like it should be a significant jump.

depends on the modernized controls, found the original to be really janky to control

but yeah it won't resolve my issues with game design or character design
