Silent Hill 2 remake has been announced. It's a PS5 console exclusive for 12 months, and also coming to PC.

Developed by Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, The Medium), Published by Konami.

[Multi Plat] Onoma (Formerly Square Enix Montreal) has been shut down - Eidos Montreal working on new Deus Ex

Onoma (Formerly Square Enix Montreal) has been shut down by the new owners, Embracer Group, and will be absorbed into Eidos Montreal (EM) where they'll only focus on PC and Console games.

Some of the projects EM is currently working on include the following:
* A new IP (recently rescoped)
* A new Deus Ex (very very early)
* co-dev partnerships with Xbox including Fable

[PC] Hardware Unboxed Modern Warfare II benchmarks

For all you CoD players out there, HU made a video covering over 40 GPU's in 1080p, 1440p and 4k, with both Ultra and balanced quality settings, so if you're looking to see how your GPU stacks up, or you're looking to upgrade, this video will probably be worth a look. (Just remember that AMD will reveal the new RX 7000-series GPUs tomorrow, so you might wanna wait a little longer.)

They also talked about making a video about optimal settings in the new game, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for that one.

[PC] Ubisoft might be returning to Steam

According to a dataminer (might be called 'YoobieTracker' - not sure though) Ubisoft seem to be working on a plan to come back to Steam after 3 years away from the platform, having seemingly added both AssCreed: Valhalla, and Roller Champions to the backend and have set up both Steam ID's in their launchers code and options for Steam Deck.

First it was EA that came crawling, then Activision (which may have Blizzard in tow, if the Microsoft buyout happens), and now Ubisoft too.
I'd really like to see their sales numbers pre- and post Steam, because to me it's the biggest "well d'uh" to have your big shiny game on the biggest platform, regardless of the fact that it takes 30% of the sales. (and then 20% after the first $50 mill. in sales has been made)
Greedy idiots wanted more, and got (I assume) way less, and that makes me both smug and a little bit happier.

Aw man, that sucks. Were you in charge of putting in towers to climb?

Jokes aside, that's awful news man. I've heard here and there that most of the projects cancelled were pretty innovative and fairly "out of their wheelhouse" so to speak.

[Multi Plat] The Outer Worlds is getting a remaster

Yes, the 3 year old game is getting a remaster, and in typical Take Two fashion, it's gonna cost ya'. In it's launch period it'll "only" cost $/€10 if you already own the base game and all the DLC. If you're a first time buyer, expect to pay full price for this thing, meaning $/€70. (Not confirmed as far as I'm aware, but expect it. T2 is one of the absolute worst companies in gaming)
Edit: "Players who own the whole set can nab the upgrade for $9.99 rather than pay the full $59.99 price tag."

The best part about this shit is definitely that the game (The Outer Worlds) is basically "Corporations are bad" the game, and then they pull this shit. The irony is just..
