[Multi Plat] Alleged GTA VI leak claims it'll take place in Colombia, Cuba, and Miami

There's not much to go by, but allegedly the hotly anticipated GTA 6 is said to take place in Colombia, Cuba, and Miami, and supposedly in 2022-2023.
This is the tweet in full from @SaycheeseDGTL:
Alleged GTA 6 leak from a Rockstar Games Insider claims the story will take place in Cuba, Colombia, & Miami and will be set in 2022-2023

[Multi Plat] Ubisoft to pull online from older games, which also takes away your DLC

Ubishit doing Ubishit things and once again, making pirating their games, the best option. It's incredible how these (all the big companies) morons never seem to learn that the key to maintaining your customers is service. The only big company in gaming that understands this is actually Valve, and even they are skating on thin ice more often than not.

Oh, and yes, this removal also impacts single player DLC. DLC you've paid for. 👍

Edit: forgot to post the source: https://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-to-pull ... -your-dlc/

[Multi Plat] EA says Skate went free-to-play to better cater to Gen Z, Gen Alpha

I don't give a shit about a new Skate game, but these kinds of moves scares me for other future games.
the Zoomers and "Gen Alpha" kids have been force-fed predatory MTX and live service bullshit since birth, and now can't understand that buying the game for cosmetics rather than lootboxes used to be the norm.

Ugh I fucking hate this...

As someone working for a major company in the video game industry, the free-to-play model is here to stay. The revenue is just not on the same scale.

I don't like it either mind you, but from a company standpoint there is no reason to come back to the former model for Gen-Z oriented live-games.

I don't mind free-to-play at all. What I do mind is full price games with MTX and DLC out the ass, chopping up the content into smaller and smaller bites as the years roll on, and the older generations either quits or actually dies.
I do get why they do it from a company standpoint, but I still think it's a bullshit move to put those things in full priced games, and is also the main reason I will never a single game on day 1, because I know it'll have story-related DLC and none of the companies deserve what they think the full game should cost. (Full game being the Platinum/Gold/GOTY/Deluxe/whatever edition - again because of DLC which 999/1000 times is cut content from the main game)

[Multi Plat] Multiple Assassin's Creed games announced, including liveservice version

Ubisoft has been busy with their patented Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V game making, so I thought I'd just dump them in here. Release probably won't happen before 2024 at the earliest, but I have no real idea about that.

First in line. (besides Mirage) Assassin's Creed Codename Jade

It's set in ancient China and is a mobile game they've made in collaboration with Tencent. This is their "we'd very much like to get our foot in the Chinese market" game, so expect all the usual bullshit when it comes to games like that. Hard pass for me.

Next is Assassin's Creed Codename Red

Set in feudal Japan it's easily the most anticipated setting in a very long time for me, but they're making it in a time where I'm not sure the finished product would interest me. And the fact that it (probably) won't be available on Steam is a big nono for me as well.

Third game of the bunch is called Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe

Supposedly set in the 1600s during the Germannic Witch hunts, and is very likely set in and around Würzburg. Looks to be their darkest setting ever, and could be them dipping their toes into horror territory with the franchise.

Lastly we have Assassin's Creed Codename Infinity

I have no idea what the hell that's supposed to be, but a commenter on YT had this to say about it:
Mirage is the spin off game that was originally meant to be for Valhalla expansion but now a full blown game.
Jade is the collaboration with Tencent to make a game set in China for mobile users.
Infinity is just meant to be a platform for the Games that take place in Japan and Germany. Which is what Red and Hexe are.
Think of it as mini Assassin's Creed games with their own narrative in 30 to 50 hour gameplay. So think back to how Unity kinda hinted at what they wanted to do but here you can just click on what game you want to play and it will take you to that story
Watching through the Showcase, all of the things the commenter posted, seems to be correct.
Here's the showcase so you can see for yourself.

[Multi Plat] Report: Devs Don’t Want To Work On Assassin’s Creed Red Because Of Project Lead’s Abuse Allegations

Fresh off the heels of the showcase, this report is published which paints a "less than ideal" picture of the state of studio responsible for developing the game codenamed Red.

This you? :+

I think all game devs kinda started to think to much of themselves. Each woke theme rises, they are in to it... :\ I mean it's not bad to have a voice/opinion about something, but cmon you are working under big Corp, you do sing some apply papers and some embargo stuff right :?
i see you with my x-ray

I wish all the devs would unionize. I think that'd go a long way to making for a much better work environment.

Also, frenchie, anything you can/will elaborate on in regards to that report? I have a feeling that you don't have the same experience, but I don't want to pry.

In other news [PC] Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves has an official release date of 19th October

Confirmed on their Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1659 ... ollection/
