I was thinking this could be about things that don't really merit it's own topic, like for example rumours about new graphics cards, new phone models people are interested in, questions about components, news that impacts the industry (like the chip shortage).. you get the idea.
I'll personally mostly "report" from a PC perspective, but all of the platforms are obviously welcome.
But I'll kick it off with some news you guys will probably have heard at this point.
Remedy Entertainment will Remake Max Payne 1 & 2, Rockstar to fund and publish.
https://investors.remedygames.com/annou ... 2-project/
Quick rundown of the announcement:
- standalone title (1+2)
- developed for PS5, XSX/S and PC using the Northlight Engine (Control)
- budget has the same size as "a typical Remedy AAA production"
- financed by Rockstar Games
- currently at "concept development stage"
Y'all know me by now, I'm an old pessimist at this point, and having Remedy on the Epic wagon with Alan Wake 2, as well as the forced exclusivity for Red Dead 2, when that first launched, I'm gonna be preemptive and say that I expect the PC launch to be an Epic/Social Club thing at first, with Steam, GoG and anywhere else down the line.
And don't expect to see this released before 2025 or something like that.
