Eek I don't like the climax kick, sounds not bad on professional monitors, but on home speakers you hear way too much bass energy, sound cringe.

He's right though, if you check the waveform you can clearly see it has more bass in the mix than your typical DWX/Scantraxx etc. release:

Here's a quickly remastered version where I bring the bass levels closer to the norm and a bit boost in the mids alongside slight other tweaks:

Waveform now looks like it has slightly closer to avg retail release kind of bass amounts but maybe slightly above average still (assuming compression rate on the kick is somewhat normal and not unusually high):

If you ask me there's plentiful impact to the bass still even with lowered bass amount and it allows you to hear the lead much better too :) For me it's clear Arjan was the guy with the mastering/mixing task in NC after he left NC. Bas is the producer guy.

The reversed bass part is fine, the climax kick was iffy to me. Much prefer the original track.

That's true.. although when a producer listens to the mixdown too long, they get confused/start adding further EQ :p
I think there's a name for it, don't know.
Your mastering sounds good. Anyway, I still don't like the timbre of that climax kick, the bass tail is overdriven too savagely. No worries, it was just another edit, and maybe some people dig it.

Which mastering effects did you apply? Did you compress it to lower the bass level?

Yea could be but Bas has a pretty new studio too so might just have to get used to the sound of it. Anyway it was just a bit of EQ adjustment, lowered bass some, added some mids (to get it more closer to the original which has a bit more mids-lower mids for that more "soul" inducing feel for the track). Slight bit of reverb on especially the upper-mid - highs to smoothen out the lead which was somewhat on the dry side for better flow and then a limiter setting which gives a more "punchier" / dynamic sound.

I noticed a "plop" at the start so I updated the link with a new version as this is a bug with my DAW if I start rendering while having track on playback I get that plop sound at the start but now it should be fixed. Also this one sounds ever so slightly more smoother and works better for my tastes especially for the climax kick part (every render varies like 1-3% or whatever in sound :p).

This is a "do not touch" track for me. Original is one of the best Noisecontrollers tracks of all time.
