Mathematics and Music
I was reading an article that stated that people who are musical are more likely to be good at maths? I was wondering if this was right and I though Id ask here?

Nah, I don't think so, the left side of brain handles numbers, logic and all that stuff, while the right side of brain deals with emotions and artsy stuff etc., so by that logic you could say the worse the mathematician you are the better producer you are and vice versa
Ofc. It isnt so linear in real life but, basically it should be smth. like that, imo.

i don't think it's true, if you are musical and good at math you might be good at correcting melodies however
personally i'm great at maths

Interestingly enough, music and math go hand in hand. That includes music theory and production. If you are interested in the topic or you want to know how the plugins are made (flangers, phasers, effects in general or synths) google it and word math to it. You'll be amazed

No that's to do with the creation of VSTs not the creation of music.
if you know the math and DSP to create synths it doesn't automatically mean you know music theory..
