How to create a lead synth like B-Front?
Hi,
Could someone please explain and/or help me to re-create a similar lead sound like this B-Front one @1:03?

I've bought Native Instruments Massive, Sylenth1 and a Virus TI, maybe some users here can help me..
Thank you all!

You bought a Virus TI without being able to make lead synths?
Umm, without actually trying it, I'd say it's a heavily detuned supersaw with an LFO @ the pitch @ at a semi-fast rate so you can still hear like the stutter in the notes, if that makes sense. I'd say it also has some sort of distortion on it.
Oh, and there's also glide in the synth.
I remember B-Front saying he made that synth in Massive, but it could definitely be possible with Sylenth I'd say. I might give it a try if I get some spare time.

This + there is probably an envelope controlling the LFO pitch amount and that LFO's rate.ljk32 wrote:You bought a Virus TI without being able to make lead synths?

I gave it a quick try for fun and this is what I got in few minutes already with MASSIVE:
It's not exactly like the lead ofc but quite similiar to it and I mainly only did what was suggested in this thread except the distortion part. So there you go, fundamental ideas to create this kind of lead.
iCore 2 Duo @ 3.4Ghz | 4Gb 800Mhz DDR2 RAM | M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 | Windows 7 x64 & Mac OSX 10.6.8 Dualboot | KRK Rokit RP5 G2 | Access Virus TI Desktop | Access Virus C Desktop | Korg K49 MIDI Keyboard
Like that?
That's basically a massive patch with 2 Square-Saw I, one got +0,25 semitone, the other one -0.25.
I added the unison effect in the Voice tab, and added a fast lfo to both osc pitch.
Some more chorus, EQ and reverb, and you're here.

You can try adding a slight phaser too.

I could have gave you the massive preset, but I didn't saved.
