sir, this is a good statement. david gayta is one of the biggest sell outs in the edm scene.ceero wrote:and who doesn't produce himselfJohn Cove wrote:well he is a very good producer who knows what the people wantMatt wrote:Guetta n°1 = Joke
i guess the reason why almost every EDM listener (including me) dislikes him is that he got electronic music on MTV hitparades right next to Rihanna and Beyonce. For me he is simply a traitor of the family he came from (edm scene). Good for him he's famous, i don't hate him for that but i really don't want to see him ANYHOW associated with electronic music scene, it is only giving us bad name. He's a fucking pop artist.

I completely agree with everything here.ceero wrote:and who doesn't produce himselfJohn Cove wrote:well he is a very good producer who knows what the people wantMatt wrote:Guetta n°1 = Joke

I really don't understand why people still call David Guetta an EDM artist. He has clearly moved onto pop music with all his collabs with these stupid pop artists who rely on autotune to sound good. His style has clearly changed to fit whats popular with the most people. In other words, it's all about money for him. Guetta is purely a sellout. Just because he knows what people want doesn't make him any less of a sellout/traitor.
What really is starting to worry me is how many DJs are trying to emulate Guetta and his "successful" money-making transition. I mean, it feels like all the big DJs are doing that now-a-days. Take a look at Martin Solveig, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Skrillex (who went from zero to hero out of nowhere!), and even the legendary Tiesto. Within the hardstyle scene, it's almost no different. Headhunterz, for example pretty much changed his production style to fit what the crowd wants, and Showtek pretty much did the same thing. My point is that if these big name djs are acheiving commercial success, what will happen to the EDM scene, and how badly will we be hurt?
Nothing to add to this.gussaadawwg wrote:ceero you are so wise, i fucking love you
