Yes i know together wtih some other producers. But the only reason why he came back is because his "live the moment" was voted hardstyle #1 track at Dediqated this year..

That's the thing, people think he got this place for two tunes he released, but it's hardly the case. He's been q-dance friend for over 15 years, been in the scene for over 20 years, helped/co-produced many producers, done shitload of anthems, has a quite a few classics + nr.1 track ever, does intros for q-dance parties and other companies, is an amazing piano player, brought us Sogma and etc.. And yet he never played at Qlimax. (Because he was busy and liked to be in the shadows). Everything started from Dediqated which sparked his comeback, and now Q-dance finally rewards him. I think he is more than deserved to finally play at this special event. (That's how i look at it)..

Im a big fan of Hardstyle with cinematic elements and i reckon thats something we can expect from JDX.

Well im maybe to old for this.. Back in the days a spot at qlimax was gifted to people who had a good year etc.. etc.
I know he does a lot behind the scenes (which he chose by himself i guess..) but for me it feels just like, oh hey my 10 year old track is still #1.
I can't get money now without festival show intro's/elements so i start making money again with releasing stuff.

Well we dont know the full lineup yet.. but there are so many producers/artist who worked there asses of last years and really should deserve a spot at qlimax now..
And not a guy who just came back with 2 'boring' releases.

I'm curious, do you think if there was a crowd you'd be more or less disappointed with the decision? I feel like they can get away with it this year, they've played it rather safe the past few years with the lineup. Personally, I'd love to see the act live but for the reasons you've given I can understand why people would feel he's taking a spot.

From a marketing stand point, it's perhaps a wise move getting a big name like him involved to attract some older fans, especially with the Qreator taking that opening spot.

I actually enjoyed both new JDX tracks this year anyway, and more than likely there will be more premiered at the event. But like you say mate, all just opinions.
