btw I did not know that this screech could be made with Sylenth 1. I used to make a similar sound before with a noisy waveform and big chain of mixer fx

Can anybody tell me how i can make this special sound @ 0:55. I mean there when the Kick modulates in this screechy beep.

@kescore - if camelphat3, you can automate the cutoff knob to achieve that kind of sound, but if you enable the filter to be bandpass. imo any distortion with cutoff function knob comes with it will do the same. but remember, set the filter type to bandpass, then you'll get there closer.

I'm a noob on producing but how is this melody/lead made? That gliding/dreamy feel? If I would be a hardstyle producer, this is excactly the sound I would aim for. Pure emotion!

It could be both. but as I observed, the sound you refering to is mainly refers to a kick fx, It's basically a kick, but with more variations of frequencies or cutoff amount of the distortion that is layering on top of it to make it sound more raw and more distorted so to speak (this is my easiest explaination i can get). This sound design can be applied to screech too

for tutorials, the easiest to understand tuts i can get is this two down here :

fx kick tutorial (it is a hardstyle tutorial but you can see how the cutoff filter works to make the kick sounds different even though the pitch is still the same. )


Screech tutorial (same approach to fx kick if you see, but you can variate more with the LFO and modulation, pretty much say you could have variety of sounds by control the knobs too, but as long it's not sound too random in ears )

Easy i would say , i haven't tried it tho'. The basic idea is: nice 2 layered (1 octave lower the second one) detuned pulse for the lead , and wider supersaws
Everything else (compression, eq , reverb) is a mixing choice i'd say it was a virus , but i can't say it until i compare it to mine
