Well, in general here in Mexico i've alway seen big support for electronic music in general, the old boomers are really into Italodisco and Hi-NRG, the oldest millenials are into Trance and younger millenials seem to be more interested in psytrance and EDM, all those genres are a lot more consolidated than techno or hardstyle/core in terms of festivals and producers, specially trance and psy.

It seems hard to push a scene where you have little to no actual "live" exposition in comparision and a difference in terms of style, even with USA producers, it's weird to describe it but the whole vibe leans towards dubstep or edm rather than hardstyle

Not even mentioning what she said about our whole country thinking that "everything foreign" it's better, we call it "malinchismo" and its a very deep social problem lol

I think local labels or booking agencies might not be the answer because we've seen a lot of artists complained about it, we should make labels/agencies battle for us not the other way around

Can't stop thinking about how we or at least i see our local labels as a jumping tool to the "big league", in the end we are giving to the europe industry instead of building ours or make them come to us

Well i can only dream about it, a consolidated scene where we can produce our top DJs and book existing acts to play a gig in a country that is really energetic and loving about any type of hardstyle

I am currently looking for tracks with uncommon / strange technical "properties".
For example, tracks with fractional BPM like Rephex - Hellfire (153,5 BPM),
or tracks with varying BPM like Acid Bunny - Jump With Bunny Or Die (starts with 150, changes to 149 after first midintro),
or tracks with different "block sizes" (don't know the technical term) like Hexowave - From The Void (usually tracks have blocks of size 8 * 4 bars, but this track has blocks of size 2*(3*4+2) bars.

Do you know more tracks like that?

That's another problem, the undeniable social media push that a label can provide, while releasing and promoting on your own is viable i think it'll be 1000x times harder to form a fan community than with help of labels and not even cosidering bookings because if no one knows your music then no one ask for you to play a gig, you know... you see a lot of producers that don't do DJing but not DJs that have no tracks

Don't even know how many booking agencies are in mexico but for sure i know a few who push the hard scene, who knows, maybe even accesibility and monetary issues in the country play a big role for example i fucking despise that we get our festivals by "phases of lineup" when the organisers rise the price of tickets every time a bigger DJ is announced or when the full lineup is available

Do you guys get this "price by lineup phase" in Europe?? from the few events i've checked it's never like this right? i hope this practice dies soon, there's no sense in buying a ticket half price when you don't even know who's playing????? lol

Yes but you know what i refer to, i remember Rooler moving to NL because if he stayed at italy it wouldnt be that "optimal" for his career, that's from a country relatively close to NL, imagine what someone in the other side of the sea has to go thru, i wonder how the australian dudes manage this, we could learn from them lol

Wasn't in doubt that we're a dense population, just here in the capital we're 3 million bigger than the whole Netherlands and really packed lol but the big difference is the acquisitive power because again, the ticket "price by phases" are a cancer and limit a lot the access to events

For example REBIRTH, 3 day event, 7 stages, full cost is 110EUR with camping, here EDC 3 day, 8 stages, full cost is 90EUR without even knowing lineup and without camping and it'll reach 140EUR at the day event and still without camping, that's just unfair lmao

That's without taking account of food & beer prices inside the events which are insane, the cost of transport of arriving and leaving 3 days, the way they brand/sponsor inside the festival would make you think it eases the expenses for organisers, seems its the other way around and that's the case with all of festivals and events, i think you can see what the difficulties are against the "comodities" you guys have in Europe
