If I remember correctly, Luminite also worked on an album.

Seven Lions and Jason Ross are calling this psytrance or "experimental trance", to me it just sounds like bad hardstyle, some stolen sounds from Wildstylez - Huh? :?

psytrance includes a wide variety of styles, reverb kicks included, but while I do like psytrance - this track is meh

Jason Ross is playing a lot of wildstylez tunes in his sets

Very strange. I actually don't mind the tune - can certainly make a good kick edit of it. But yeah, just go back to nice Anjuna stuff plz Jason

Sounds like old hard trance to me but with a modern gated kick to me. In other words it's hard trance. Nothing "experimental" or psy related for them to claim that

Nah it is pure psytrance. Hard trance is slower, that track is the psytrance tempo, and the sounds are in the generic psytrance groove. It doesn't matter if you hear hardstyle elements

@ThePrincipal yeah I never understood how he went from some beautiful Anjuna stuff (Atlas still one of my faves) to some pretty dated and generic sounding wub wub tunes

Psy trance and hard trance are both the same tempo, both are around 140-150 bpm. Psy trance is set apart with it's distinct basslines and organic sounds. This track's kicks and screeches make it sound way more similar to hard trance/hardstyle than psy trance

Although I feel psytrance evolved over the years to be open to various new styles, it has become more diverse than what it used to be. I like it personally, the stuff people are making today, although there's a "cleanliness" in psytrance which I dislike compared to hardstyle which has no limits, and the drums in psytrance are nearly always soft
