@Netris
That reverse bass is in a wrong tone. You could also work on that kick. The transition to the piano is a bit abrupt. The mixdown is also very bad and there is a general lack of elements. The lead could be a bit more layered. Also the reverb on the elements is a bit weak or wierd.

That's what I don't understand, everything is on A# when I look at it...The RaveN wrote:@Netris

Yeah, I'm working on that, but people haven't really reponded to what I posted so I don't really know how to improve. Not a complaint here, just an observation.
What do yo mean by weird ? And by elements ?The RaveN wrote:Also the reverb on the elements is a bit weak or wierd.

Aaarghh, my ears! The high end is too loud, namely in the intro fx and the lead. The reverse bass sounds fine to me though.Netris wrote:snip
I think your reverse bass is like two or one semitones too low.Netris wrote:That's what I don't understand, everything is on A# when I look at it...The RaveN wrote:@Netris

Edit: I tried to pitch the reverse bass one semitone up and it sounds better. (Though it was transient pitching)
I'll definitely need better headphones :/ It sounds fine on my end.enslaver101 wrote:Aaarghh, my ears! The high end is too loud, namely in the intro fx and the lead. The reverse bass sounds fine to me though.Netris wrote:snip
I'll try that, thanks.The RaveN wrote:I think your reverse bass is like two or one semitones too low.Netris wrote:That's what I don't understand, everything is on A# when I look at it...The RaveN wrote:@Netris

EDIT :
Could you be a bit more specific ? I mean "your mixdown is bad" is not really constructive nor helpful. I'd like to improve, but just saying it's bad doesn't really help here.The RaveN wrote:The mixdown is also very bad

Snippet of an upcoming track of mine.
Qlimax 2009 - Defqon.1 2010 - Q-Base 2010 - Qountdown 2010 - Hard Bass 2011- Hard Bass 2012 - Defqon.1 2012 - Defqon.1 2013 - Hard Bass 2014 - Q-Base 2014 - Qlimax 2014 - Defqon.1 2015 - Q-Base 2015 - Qlimax 2015 - Hard Bass 2016 - Defqon.1 2016
very driving kick, which I like, but the only thing here that's missing is the atmosphere or some kind of choir to fill in the sound. nice idea overallbutterprickol wrote:

Ok, thanksThe RaveN wrote:@Netris
Sorry for not being specific. I just wanted to point out what you should focus on. There are tutorials that can explain these things much better than if I were to do it. The reverb was quiet and short. That's what I mean.
