Dhamrir: the vocals have anoying t's and S's trying get rid of that and it all sounds pretty ' Basic' to me atm it needs a more special sound design and atmosphere because there is not very much going on atm.
Keep working!

should I finish this?

@deegzfcfc, vocals seems a bit loud, nothing more to say, keep working
@Dhamrir, as Stereotypes, your vocals need more works, and a bit more sound design
@Stereotypes, really nice raw kick :)

Here is my latest track

@dhamiri_blurrboy Nice, reminds me a lot of happy hardcore music, very clubby/dancey feel to it. I feel if you added more Attack/Decay (dont know how to describe it, makes the lead sound sharp with cutoff) it would sound a lot better :)

@Stereotypes very nice kick! sounds very raw, a bit too much high frequencies in my ears.

@Sustain The lead sounds a bit too 'metallic' to me. The screech also sounds a bit too distant from the rest of the mix. Other wise its very good! :D

here is mine

@Stereotypes - fucking insane shit! Really like the punch of the kick, and how you play with the pattern is awesome. Think the screech could some more eq.

@Sustain - the quality of the track is pretty good in my opinion (mixdown/sound design), but the climax is kinda the same melody all over again (would fit perfect as mid-intro/outro). I think if you play more with chords and keys it will get more interesting. For some reason I also expected a pitched kick, don't know why.

@SQMDQ - I like the idea, and the melody is great in combination with the chords. The only thing is,you can get more out of your synth, it isn't kinda ready. You know what I mean? So yeah, it is a short snippet but the main thing is to get the quality better by using more eq.

So, I'm curious what everybody thinks of our new preview? :)

Hey guys, I hope you can give some feedback on this melody I'm working on. I was aiming for that old school shuffling kinda track. It's obviously not mastered or anything. I just quickly uploaded it

@ dhamiri-k, the pads in the break sound great, but as everyone else said, the t's and s's are really harsh. The melody is pretty cool, but the lead needs a lot of work to make the climax powerful, and so does the kick.

@ Stereotypes, it sounds pretty sick so far, but as usual, I think the whole thing is too quiet.

@ Sustain, the screech is really nice. It sounds a lot like Adaro - My Soul To Take. I also like the atmosphere in the break, but I think you should play a melody with the sine wave in the background. The kick needs some crunch imo. Other than that, the track is really solid.

@ SQMDQ, I really like the atmosphere and melody, and the kick sounds pretty good too, but the part where the kick pitches really high at 0:50 sounds awful imo, and the lead could use a bit of work to make it more clear during the climax.

@ Blackout, that sounds really good! The kick is fucking banging, the breaks are pretty good, and the screech is really harsh. The only flaws I can find is that the melody is a bit boring, and the first 2 anticlimaxes are a bit too abrupt.

@ Tragedy, the melody is a bit too repetitive and monotone imo, and the lead and the kick both need work.

@typhon - i like the idea of the screech but needs layered, eq'd more etc..

@blackout - i like that kick its really banging and goes well with the screech ;) melody is rather plain though..

@SQMDQ - as i said to typhon the lead needs layered and eq'd more.. but i like the idea :)

@Section 8 This post should go to the Hardcore track review thread (I actually posted my song there by mistake) anyways I like the screech, but you should add new things after then bring it back when least expected. The screech later on drags on and kind of starts sounding like it's imitating a vocal lol which is cool, but it shouldn't be the whole track in my opinion even though thats what made me pay attention to the song a bit more. So adding some new things and bringing the screech back a little later then how the song is will give it better replay value. Nice kick as well.

This song I made is really special I wondered what a hardstyle song would have sounded like on nintendo in 8 bit so i searched for something like it as a ref and couldn't find a good one so I did it and randomly came up with the idea of making a little fun music video inside my DAW. Share this one with anyone who likes hardstyle if you think it's cool. Will link the youtube video and soundcloud. Don't forget set HQ for video.

@typhonmusic I like the kick, but the screeches need some work. They're a little high pitched for my taste (might just be me); I would follow Section 8's advice.

@Section 8 Wrong topic I think, but... It sounds pretty good except for the lead in the middle: there might be some phase issues or the sound design just needs work.

@bloodlord1989 It's a pretty cool idea, but I feel like the execution could use some work. The whole thing is a little... gratey? (I guess 8-bit can be, though). The mood of the track is kind of sad, I always like my 8-bit super-over-the-top happy. ^_^ Once the kick starts (at around 2:00), the track starts to get a bit boring because not very much happens after that.

Here's something I just started working on, some feedback before I get too into it would be appreciated. ;D
