Mid-march like the previous years I guess :)

He made the Reverze anthem last year and I didn't really like it to be honest.

Hello from Sydney!
Just wanting some advice from people who have attended before. This will be mine along with 7 friends first time attending Defqon NL! We are planning to stay the whole weekend but any recommendations with what option we should go with? This will be our first weekend in Europe for a good 3 month trip. We would be happy to do the standard camping, but is it worth while paying the extra cash and getting a tipi ? Or did anyone experience the Yurt option?
Any advice would be helpful , thank you in advance.

Happy Raving !! :)

Camping at defqon is great fun.. Never had the tipi or anything like that , just standard camping.. Just make sure you get a good tent , because every year it has rained really heavy and rain has gotten into my tent.. Around the tipis it always seems to be very very muddy... But all part of the Defqon experience

Only go to the camping site if everybody in your group are sure they want to go there. I'v been in a Q-Dance travel hotel (2012) and cottage village (2014), cuz the other guys didn't want to go to camping. You still get transfers to / from the site, but of course it's not the same as just walking 5 minutes from your tent to the festival site.

If you go to camping, pack your things in plastic bags, cuz there will be rain. Last year was the best DQ experience in the Biddinghuizen area, but it still managed to rain heavily during the last night of the festival. Q-Dance travel tent packs usually come with an optional inflatable mattress option, so you don't have to sleep in the mud. Tipi's are usually placed in the main walkaways in the camping area, so those lanes will get muddy after a day. I have not seen the comfort yurts or tents (mainly because they are in a separate area for only those who are there) so I can't comment on those.
Thanks guys...
So the deluxe option that's not on the grounds, is it far from the festival ? And are there frequent transfers ?
Sorry for the 101 questions !

There are deluxe options in the camping grounds too like the yurts or deluxe tents. Those ones just cost some more, but if you want to be as near as possible to the festival and have a little privacy, thats your best bet. Just make sure you book em on time. There are not many of them on festival site and those are usually reserved right away.

We took the cottage option last summer, cuz it had the best of both worlds and everybody agreed on it. Our accomondation was situated in a waterpark nearby (15min drive). Busses to the festival came in 20-30 min intervals and theres several options at which times they take you back from the festival site to the waterpark. The whole park was basicly full of DQ1 visitors, so everybody came along nicely and we had a blast there.

The hotel option back in 2012 was poor. The transfer time was several hours cuz of the traffic (took us 3 hours to get out of the festival site). Even if you take the early bus in hopes to catch the starting dh, theres just so much traffic going into the site that you lose the first sets because of that. Theres only like a handful of transfer times when they take you, so if you miss those, sucks for you.

I can look if I have some screenshots saved about the order process or if I find em from google. The differences were pretty well explained in the travel site.
That's fine won't need the screenshots was just hard understanding where and what everything was but you've pretty much covered it thank you so much really appreciate it dude :)

Nice luck mate.

Anyway, well, peronal cleaning stuff, underwear, comfortable shoes, hood, suncream if you a delicate skin, money, showers slippers and towels.

4,5lt of alcholic drinks (didnt remember exact) more or less 2 pints for you.

Yes you can bring food, but I bought everything there, ate 3 times for day, looked for the cheaper food XD homeless version ahhaha

They should bring back the water for free, and belive me, it's a real gift from the sky, allows you to save lots of money, like I did. Toilette or drink point ;)

What else... nothing for now.

Ah yes, ticket for what kind of accomodation? :D

@Tianachi: If you are comfortable take the simple tend :D I had that last year (2014) and it was great. Anyway depends how many money you want spent for the accomodation, a tip from me: always in the camping, dont book hotels or cottage Imo.
