Having only one section is quite obvious imo. And there's a text saying "We have lost Atomicoz.". Of course if you don't know who he was, then it doesn't mean much to you, but considering these two, it's not hard to see what happened.

Well you still can visit the other forum sections via google. It took me about 3 days to find out, that these sections were actually down and nobody could reply in threads (because i rarely post on this forum).

i think its probably wise to have the forum shut as a whole until something is decided, whatever that may be. saves the chance of any irrelevant posts being made

Yeah, that's the annoying part. I completely understand shutting down the forums, but don't leave it half open then complain when people make threads about other stuff. Restrict access to the site and leave a message about what happened and provide details to where one can keep contact with mods, like IRC or email. My heart goes out to atoms family, and I can only hope that the forums will be up sooner rather than later, but I understand that management has a lot of stuff to deal with at the moment and I especially don't want them to pull their hair out just to appease some randoms from the internet.
