ok, let me rephrase that. It's like Q DANCE doesnt think we like any other genres in Australia besides 'mainstream hardstyle' ;)

but are those events as big as Q dance ones? No - And is Bass Control a UK focused party? No - the main genre promoted at that is hardstyle :)

And what genre have Qdance always focused on? Hard style. How many events from them aren't hardstyle focused? 1 or 2.
And really, bass control was just as much focused on hardcore as it was hardstyle.
Also. The main genre focused at Masters of Hardcore is....hardcore!

Not to mention defqon 1 aus isnt all hardstyle......

At the end of the day its a single stage q dance event. It was always going to be a standard lineup. I dunno why you guys got your hopes up in the first place.....

...oh man that lineup. I feel for you, my aussie fellas *big hug* :( although I wouldn't complain (expect for The Prophet) if that lineup would be in Finland.

It's simply Q-Dance's strategy as well, they want to make hardstyle as big as possible worldwide, so they tend to promote the more accessible hardstyle sound all over the globe. The more people they can get to like this, the more profit they'll make. Marketing-wise, this is quite a good strategy as it works in the Netherlands (alongside wildstylez entering the pop charts and stuff like that), although I doubt how long this hardstyle sound will really last before dying out of commercialization.

That's why I love b2s btw, they highlight all styles within hardstyle, not only the mainstream sound :)

It will be mainstream like dubstep was, I think. 1 or maybe 2 years. But why I don't like this, is the fact that hardstyle will probably die out like jumpstyle did. The die-hards will stop listening to it, cause it went mainstream, and the big masses will stop listening to it, because after a few years it won't be cool anymore.

The way I see it, Q-dance are trying to please the majority. More people will enjoy that line-up than one filled with underground names. :P

Why please less when you can please more?

Why don't book 2-3 "more unknown" names to please even more fans? :)
