I'm from the Twin Cities in MN. And since I'm technically a minor there's jack-shit for events. Lol.

Westborough, Massachusetts. right in the middle of everything. 30 mins to boston, 45 to providence, 20 to worcester, Id say we got a good location for partying.

Lots of dubstep, DnB, electro/house. Everyonce and a while a hardstyle DJ.

Im trying to produce hardstyle. I need better VST's for it though, all mine suck :'(

Dude, I know exactly how you feel. And good VSTs are expensive too, so that kinda makes you stuck unless you get them illegally, which I like to avoid doing.

In case it helps you, a pretty good, completely free VST Synth is called TranceDrive. Although the name says Trance on it, it seems to do the trick with hardstyle tracks too, and I've heard of some people who have used it for hardstyle productions too. I really like it, and it works well even if you create your own leads. The one thing I hate is that it eats up a ton of memory, which I don't have.

I have all the basic ones that come along with FL studios 9 producers pack. and i also downloaded Z3ta and Pro 53. And i also got the hardstyle banks for both of them. But besides that i cant get anything to sound right and its really frustrating. I would get more but i have these stupid locks on my computer and cant download anything unless my dad is present. (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6) (6)

And my computer is awesome for memory i think my computer alone has close to 2 terrabytes of memory on it. The leads dont seem to be an issue for me because I understand how to build leads. My main thing is getting the kicks... :/ Like the millions of other small time hardstyle producers the kicks are what kill me... And I have an idea of some plugins i could use for them but again the blocks issue kinda messes me up there.

I basically only use plugins that come with FL Studio Signature bundle to make my tracks. For kicks, I use fruity fast dist, fruity blood overdrive, and Fruity Parametric EQ 2 on a 909 kick sample or a 909-like kick I make with Sytrus. You could replase Sytrus with 3xosc or even fruity kick I reckon if you don't have the full sytrus.

No I have sytrus, theres just so many things that are possible to do with that plugin I literally dont even know where to start. I know the program is really powerful but no amount of tutorial videos have taught me how to really use it yet. And I really dislike the blood overdrive for ampflication. Everything always comes out too wet and uncontrolled.
