Was on a trip for a few days in the south, went to see a old friend from my mom who I used to go on vacation with when I was a kid. This old friend also lives 1 street away from my biological dad who I haven't seen in 10 years. And they're friends. I actually just wanted to visit the old friend and was already joking like 'what if my dad is just sitting there at his place'.. would be awkward. (Personal story).
Well so I ring the bell, he recognizes me and lets me in, we walk to the kitchen and there's.. my dad. I got a fucking heart attack, but everything went smooth. Then I went to my dad's place with my dad and sat there just talking for hours. He even rolled a joint for me (he's 72, kind of an old hippy). What a weird day.. got his phone number and now maybe, contact will continue..
