From what I've understood if seems like you have a seriously fucked up situation over there. I'm not familiar with the political state of Hungary but man. It seems there aren't many good options to choose from. The Convicted wrote:Well, as he strongly demanded pulling the Soviet troops out of the country before and in 1989 and laying the foundation of democracy, he spits himself in his own face... I understand that the personality does not stay the same as years go by, but I (and many of us) did not expect such turnaround and I'm afraid we're still far from the end (just look at Turkey). He laid a wreath to a communist monument, because of some Chinese money to be expected to come, it obviously causes a shitstorm (I don't really want to go into the details that much, but many people still think communism was better, because there wasn't unemployment... yeah, and nazism was good, because Hitler built so many highways in Germany, the economy was picked up, right lol).Valadia wrote: I don't really understand. Could you explain please?
The goverment basically runs a disgusting propaganda and the root of that is... yes, who else than Soros. They blame him for the refugee crisis, they try to kill NGOs financed from outside Hungary and we actually came to the point where anybody attacking the views of the government is basically paid down by Soros, because it's impossible to have different opinion, somebody with money must be behind your back! And the worst thing is that it's not only the government following this non-sense theory, but the hard core of supporters who listens Orbán with opened mouth and drink him in and a sea of saliva is being created under their legs... Also, there are people whose don't know which party to choose, but would vote on Fidesz, because it's the "lesser evil" and there are people whose don't vote at all, because they don't care at all. The government bravely uses frightening to recruit people to vote them. Needless to say but the folk doesn't know jack about migrant crysis e.g., but scaring people and pointing fingers to invisible (actually Soros exists, but seriously, it's fucking absurd) enemy than giving reasonable instructions to get the full picture. If they do not throw shit to each other, put aside the contrasts and join hands, this country would be a better place... Politicians.
But to keep up the outside impression that they care about your opinion still, consultation with people and in no other ways than... letters! They send letters to every home, where you can fill in a form whether you agree with some questions or not. After gathering all the letters sent back, they just sit back and note the results, people are behind the government! The only "problem" is the turnout, which is very low, but doesn't hold them back to be happy for the positive part! Same goes for the elections, but it matters much more: the amount of people supporting Orbán is less than who doesn't, but they are splitted... well, we can blame the opposition for that too (I mean it seriously). Until they're governing, the country is being robbed out financially, huge money goes for events that will surely make losses or just not "useful" at a financial state like this one (plans for olympic games - those dreams are at least over, but the established cost at the beginning for the swimming WCH at Hungary this year sounds like a complete joke compared to the amount of money spent by now lol) or to the pockets of the families of the members of the government or to organizations runned by a Fidesz party member or people supporting them. In the meanwhile, education and health equal to zero, people leaving this country, society is getting older etc. Problems after problems basically.
So yeah, politicians... are they good for anything?
Sorry for the long post, there are many things on my mind in connection with this, I have lots of things to write. Orbán might look like a role model for some of you, a shining light in the dark EU, but he has just a hunger for more power to possess. He's very harmful for Hungary, maybe to the whole present and the future.
