Unpopular opinions
Re: Unpopular opinions
Ok. I can't express how boring and monotone Sound Rush and Keltek set was to me. It's like you're listening to the same song through whole set. Same fucking lead every fucking song
. It's the trend that I'm really bored of, and whole old AoC crew. Not a slighttest change when it comes to the lead. Just WHY? Why not to change a little bit, it makes a HUUUGE difference, and a little relief and freshness.

The DJ spins a galaxy of black vinyl, for the gods that came to dance!

I actually stopped listening to hardstyle sets/podcasts which includes music in general (I still do when I have the mood to join a livestream to r/hardstyle discord channel but it's very rare). Strange but the current build-up of hardstyle tracks with mid-intro - break - climax/anti - break - climax/anti for like 60-90 mins became a challenge to listen to me because changes between parts might be way too radical to be enjoyed for that long time.

the 10 seconds of mixing is great, but never adds energy. Maybe this is subtle, but it seems to me to just be bringing in the next track as quickly as possible, rather than that combination of two overlapping kicks which just sounds thunderous.

Sefa is an arrogant a******, and Frenchcore is crap. Nothing but an overhyped marketing disaster that Q-Dance should never have made a part of their world. I don't want to listen to nihilistic emo quotes while partying and celebrating life. Pass...
Todays sets are just glorified playlists. Go back to Qlimax 2016, and listen to Tuneboy's monster set, and notice how he actually mixes and makes transitions the way it is supposed to be done. A real hardstyle set introduces new tracks during the outro of the previous track, before proceeding unto the intro of the new one. Today the music stops out of nowhere, and the result is a constant anticlimax. Pathetic.

He seems pretty humble to me, from his online presence. Always liking comments, seems really genuine guy.

Exactly this. You can say all you want about his music or Q-Dance milking him, but saying he's an arrogant prick is based on nothing and nothing more than a personal attack.Emre wrote:This is the 'unpopular opinions' topic, not personal attacks.[] wrote:No one the last time I checked.
