That Hardwell set was one of the best sets i've heard in a loooooooong time. If this is what hes going to be doing now I am ALL in.
Stand before them and there is no beginning, follow them and there is no end.
Stay with the Project, move with the One.

I've been seing this new trend cooking up since 2020 with Oliver Heldens alias, then Will Sparks, Maddix, Wiwek and even W&W followed up, i think the collab between Armin and Reinier pulled it to the mainstream, Hardwell's new album just settles it, excited to hear what EDM can do when trying techno elements in their tracks

Yea, don't forget the Techhouse and maybe even Proggressive hype as well, with Nicky Romero (and his Monocule alias) on top of the latter genreShodan wrote:I've been seing this new trend cooking up since 2020 with Oliver Heldens alias, then Will Sparks, Maddix, Wiwek and even W&W followed up, i think the collab between Armin and Reinier pulled it to the mainstream, Hardwell's new album just settles it, excited to hear what EDM can do when trying techno elements in their tracks

Future Rave by Guetta is also a nice sound.
I'm just glad the genre is looking bright again with these tech sounds incorporated, no matter the kind of tech lol

Speaking bout Hardwell, dunno if you watched his set yesterday at Tomorrowland, but it was boring like hell, bad transitions and the crowd was dead for real. And the set of AvB was pretty boring too with same tracks over and over again. Maybe its time for some change of names on the mainstages
AvB's kinda doin' quantity over quality. Partly, way too popishRomanian Hardstyler wrote:Speaking bout Hardwell, dunno if you watched his set yesterday at Tomorrowland, but it was boring like hell, bad transitions and the crowd was dead for real. imo the future rave trend became bland pretty fast, even more than the brazilian bass revival.
AvB knows he's the face of an industry and even has said he's too big to stop or change directions, i recall hearing him say a lot of people's lives depends on him, so it's understandable he produces what he does but very unfortunate also
In Hardwell case i think the mainstream crowd is not accepting his new "Big Room Techno" wave, his sets confuse the fans because it's all new stuff and most of the mainstage crowd are there for the sake of being there just in tomorrowland lol
