it's nothing new but i kinda agree with him to some extent.

raw hardstyle has become ridiculous especially tracks from upcoming producers. the thing i like hardstyle that much is the musicality. don't get me wrong though, i'm not a euphoric hs warrior. i'm just annoyed with the recent releases which are basically nonsense screechfests. just take an almost clipping kick, kickrolls, edgy vocals, ear-hurting screeches and voila, let's release it.

Even I find his post a bit exaggerated (even though I agree on his opinion + even if euphoric is not diverse either, i'd waaaaay rather listen to a un-diverse melody than a un-diverse kickscreechfest because melodies > plain boom boom screech anyday imo) but yes, the way he writes it is just asking for trouble. I don't like 80% of raw, i don't make posts like this either. Every kind of music has it's own charm, and i also think he wrote this because a lot of people will say 'agree man!', and he knew that before he wrote the post.

To me it sounds like he's seen the top of the iceberg and is judging it as a whole from that. Yes, there is a clear amount of similar sounding raw hardstyle, but that could be said about many other music genres as well. If you dig deeper within the raw scene, you will find lots of different stuff. I mean, compare current tracks from for instance Delete, Thera, Phuture noize and Radical Redemption and you will clearly notice different styles and diversity.

Moreover, I really do not get why artists feel the need to publicly burn other music to the ground like that. Focusing on the things you do not like will not make your music better and will not make you any happier in life in general. Also, posts like these cause endless and fierce raw vs. euphoric discussions, separating our scene even more. It would really be best if we could just live and let live.
