Re: Hardwell - Apollo (Noisecontrollers Remix)
There is a very big distinction between the acts you listed and commercial house.....
Why does everyone on this forum fail to see that just because you dont like something that doesn't make it commercial/pop?

it was a subjective opinion -hence the "to me" part
but no there isn't a very big distinction at all. Of course Guetta, Tiesto and Avicii are more commercial than the guys I listed but they only the next step down from Guetta, Tiesto and Avicii IMO!

You too know that what we call "electro" is just short for electro house...Digital Audio Tape wrote:...
Lol there you go already, the radio-style tracks you refer to is indeed pretty standard, but what is considered "progressive" house these days is definitely way more diverse than hardstyle... There are far more artists than the once you mentioned as "exceptions" that produce differently compared to stuff you usually hear on radio(Avicii etc).John Cove wrote:
Melodic Hardstyle is way more diverse than the typical Progressive House music at the moment. A big melodic break and then Bleep Bleep Bleep Boing. Amazing exceptions are Arty, Alesso, Dirty South or Porter Robinson & Mat Zo with 'Easy' and some others.
You are right, however for some reason Hardwell and stuff like that is these days labeled as progressive too.Misunderstood wrote:
umm 1 thing, isn't progressive a genre where the track keeps 'building up' and so on? Showtek make tracks suitable for clubs, not for the atmosphere imo. Oh well lol.I thought progressive was something else.
Okay, this is bad. Even if it wasn't the NC making it, I wouldn't like it !

And now the video is getting disliked just because it's not hardstyle. Stupid fanboys everywhere
