Well I'm back with a serious buzz about Techno, Hard Techno & Schranz now! Stuff is just amazing and can't get enough of it right now.
This is not long after doing my first Full Hardcore mix at 176-180bpm aswell! Guess I'm gona spend a lot of time with these styles over the next few weeks/months.

*I've also noticed out of all my mixes in all styles over the last few years my last Hard Techno mix, vol.23 "Violent" has had the most downloads than any other mix, almost 250! Well, I'll have a new Hard Techno/Schranz mix soon seeing as my Hardcore mix didn't take off as I'd hoped* ;)

Im listening too hardstyle from the beginning in 2001 and always will. Im one of those guys who actually likes hardstyle changes so fast. Every 3 years there is a whole different "genre" of hardstyle it seems, I love it. I can enjoy some good hardcore from time to time aswell, mostly TTM productions and Ophidian, TOA stuff. The more darker and complicated form of hardcore that is. The same for hardstyle btw. But I gotta admit there is some quality difference between the best producers in HS and in HC, hardcore producers are more divers if you ask me. Well I like both :)

I'm inclined to agree to an extent, although my heart will always belong to Hardstyle. I agree that tracks are getting worse though and HC is sometimes what I listen to when I need a break from this mainstream HS.

All this stuff with Willem selling out makes me really sad :'(

Todays hardcore is often more inspiring then todays Hardstyle sound.
Though I am speaking mostly from artists like Teium, Drokz etc.

Not a big fan of Drokz, think he lost his unigue talent with the new sound, but he still makes some good raw terror songs, and I am not counting his vs. projects with big artists that often fails.

Mc Drokz - Lie & Die is the best song he has ever done.

I am pretty sure that everyone who spends some time to dig deeper into the hardstyle scene starts to get bored of it eventually and fall in love with similar but harder/more underground genres like hardcore, industrial, and hardtechno. Especially hardtechno (L) That stuff is just magic, it's all the same but it never seems to get boring!

The way I see it, commercial hardstyle is an entry to harder dance music, and if you like it a lot, then you will get into industrial and hardtechno. But not everyone does, that's why those genres are much more underground. You just gotta listen so much of that shit it becomes boring and you discover more :)

And in the end... who knows? Techno probably, one of the genres that seems indestructable.

There are a lot of people who have followed the hs scene for years but still don't listen to industrial or hardtechno.

Not only in Sweden. The definition of Hardcore for alot of the german 'gabbers' is this Frenchcore & Drokz stuff and I'm pretty sure that most of the people who are flaming about slow hardcore & breakbeat influenced hardcore are actually also germans haha.
