Grape wrote:i just read on reddit, that act of rage is kind of a sidekick or produced by tha playah. is this stuff true? as the ep "confronting reality" was actually "hardcorish", also the vocals, but not that great like "Santa Is Coming For Your Corpse" which is actually a killer track. do you have any more infos about that?

the album tracks of "outrageous" and "sobatage" include to many fillers to make me belive, that it was all tha playah's work.

at least it would explain the production differences for me, maybe someone can point out the tracks actually produced or co-produced by him
The only track that officially mentions Tha Playah in the credits is "Blazing"
Act of Rage has quite many tracks registered at Buma/Stemra under his producer name (not just his real name), which hints to being ghosted. Same as Korsakoff or Sub Sonik

Although I'm getting more disappointed in how the moh top 100 look like with every new year, I'll vote as soon as they've added the missing tracks ;D

Less Miss K8 releases, so I'm awaiting a Tha Playah, Angerfist and Deadly Guns radio show and doubt there'll be more than 20 different artists in the top 100 again.

my votes will go out to:
Dolphin - Ebbs
Adamant Scream - This Breaks My Fucking Heart
Re-Style ft. Cammie Robinson - One Last Dance
Embrionyc & Cubic Nomad - Sensation Of The Mind (if it's not too much Hardtechno for them to consider it)
The Relic - Echoes Of The Past

Very nice video featuring legends and young producers in the scene :D
Skip to 12:35 in the second video for Lenny dropping some heat about uptempo style _O_
Spoiler
"Maybe try to write some music, and then you wouldn't need the extra kick drums"

Telekom Electronic Beats has a series where DJs in a certain scene sits down and guesses 10 songs just from a few snippets and 10 days ago they came to Hardcore/Gabber.
The DJs/Producers they got in for this segment was The Darkraver, Paul Elstak, Lenny Dee, Wixapol, Kilbourne, and Gabber Eleganza. (I have no idea who the 3 last people are)

First video is just a setup where they talk about the history and also how they feel the genre is evolving, and Lenny Dee came with a beautiful quote: "Maybe if you wrote some music you wouldn't need 6 kick drums." (and then laughs it off)
I fucking loved it, because it seems to me that a fair few of the bigger names out there are also beginning to grow incredibly tired of the Uptempo prevalence in the scene.

The contest itself is pretty fun too. As it revolves around the early stuff, it's a pretty fun dive into some classic stuff of the 90's era.
