Headhunterz - Live Forever [Art Of Creation]
I think most Hardstyle artists are really boring characters, so Heady is an interesting exception. His reception is controversial but interesting.
.
2. More than two years of production.GamerZoneUSA wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 06:15 Three things I got from that video.
1. it's nice to see that he's alive and doing well
2. This track took almost TWO YEARS????? I think this track is incredible and maybe it's truly a labor of love but that's insanity. No way we get new HHZ music anytime soon right?
3. Consciousness almost got an official release which is dope but makes me sad it never got an official release. But it's clear where he got the inspiration from and this was born which is cool
He mentioned he started to produce it a year before it was actually played at Defqon and more than a year after it to define all the sounds and finish it.

doesn't mean he spent day and night with only this track for 2 years tho, just the initial idea was born in 2022GamerZoneUSA wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 06:15 2. This track took almost TWO YEARS????? I'm loving this track, easily a top 5 material for this year in my eyes and I hope he's going to give us more listening experience focused songs later

It takes him two years to produce a single track, and 5+ years to "perfect" the P1 album. Yet other bands and musicians such as King Gizzard, METZ, and Thee Oh Sees will create amazing songs or albums on a regular basis, usually multiple times a year, while also touring. I honestly don't get it. Is it perfectionism?

a combination of perfectionism, working on some other stuff that has closer deadlines and since it's a solo track he works on it alone(?) unlike the bands with multiple people mentioned? so many possible factors to extend that timeReverse Ghost wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 09:47 It takes him two years to produce a single track, and 5+ years to "perfect" the P1 album. off-topic: good that you've mentioned METZ because I need to check those new songs, I "stopped" following them around Strange Place

Maybe or just feelings & emotions.Reverse Ghost wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 09:47 It takes him two years to produce a single track, and 5+ years to "perfect" the P1 album. Or just dishing out tracks.
Regain or RR explained it too. They „don‘t feel“ sticking in the past. Its like doing things you did being 16 with 35. Who knows if its the same with P1.
As a fan:
Do you want a Project One Album?
Do you want a soulless Project One Album?
Do you want a real Project One Album?
Would you accept him not dropping it as he doesn‘t feel the concept anymore?
There are a lot of inbetweens.
He took his time off. It can have many reasons at once. It can be perfectionism too. It can also be capturing a special feeling in a track once and than going to normal productions habits. Or taking time to develop new production skills to drop tracks in fast speed afterwards.
But i honestly think he explained it in the video. You are actually asking questions he can‘t explain either.
Be a pioneer, don't chase the tail. Don't follow the path.
Blaze the trail.
Blaze the trail.
sums it up, though I believe Heady is a prime example for showing lotta signs of perfectionism which itself is quite common in music industry.Amperial wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 10:12 But i honestly think he explained it in the video. You are actually asking questions he can‘t explain either.
Dealing with it is everything but easy and can be both - rewarding or hindering your progress.
firstly, you talk about "bands" and a single dude. Secondly, if you listen to these bands albums, neither the sound design nor the sound quality is on par with what Heady delivers.Reverse Ghost wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 09:47 It takes him two years to produce a single track, and 5+ years to "perfect" the P1 album. Do you listen to any of those bands, or are you just saying they sound bad for the sake of being a contrarian? Mind you that despite bands not being a single dude, they pump out more music of excellent quality than Hardstyle Jesus who takes two years to change the kicks in one part of a single track.elgrekoz wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 10:22firstly, you talk about "bands" and a single dude. If you want a more apt comparison, Atmozfears puts out more tracks that have as good "sound quality" as Heady's without the inflated ego.
You can't be serious here man. Thats literally like saying 'this oil painting is a sub par qualitywise to this digital art'. Apples and oranges.elgrekoz wrote: 03 Nov 2024, 10:22 Secondly, if you listen to these bands albums, neither the sound design nor the sound quality is on par with what Heady delivers.
