Me and a friend are staying at Tulip Inn Amsterdam Riverside‏, Tuesday to Thursday, so if anyone has any suggestion about what to do/where to go in the Dam... (I don't mean just those coffee shops haha)

Aaaaargh i was there at 10 years of q-dance, beds weren't soo tidy and sooo long to walk from the metro to the hotel.
Around the hotel there is nothing only long wide fields, river, horses & a highway *g*
just for information, buy some food & drinks at the airport/town - no supermarket/bottleshop near the hotel
aaaah and buy a 3 days chipcard at the centraal station (15€ - for metro & street train) much cheaper
